Some Volunteers work directly with the Patient and the Family while other Volunteers work in the Hospice office or on special projects. When you choose to volunteer, no matter what you do, you will be providing quality care for Hospice Patients and their Families.
Hospice volunteering can be scheduled in the free time you have to give. Whatever your talents, interests, and skills, Hospice has need you can fill.

Qualities important for being an effective Hospice Volunteer include: good communication skills, a non-judgmental attitude, reliability, flexibility, and compassion. Training for volunteers is provided for free by hospice.
